“Taiwan Net Zero Emissions Association” is the non-profit organization prepared and established by Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) and 26 domestic enterprises and institutions (China Steel Corporation, TSMC, Sinyi Realty Inc., E.SUN Financial Holding, Taiwan Cement Corp., Chunghwa Telecom, ASX-ASE Technology Holding, Asia Cement Corporation, Shin Kong Financial Holding, CTCI Co., Ltd., Taishin Financial Holding, Hon Hai Precision Industry, and others). The Founding Assembly and the First Director/Supervisor Conference were held at the Evergreen International Convention Center on October 19, 2021. The founding mission of the Association aims to help enterprise members with the implementation of net-zero emissions and act as the communication channel between enterprises and the government, and thereby facilitating Taiwan to complete net-zero transformation.
The association has been focusing on net zero trends at home and abroad since its foundation and held forums and expert seminars. Through the proactive promotion of industry-government-academic exchange, the association intends to make a call for domestic agenda on domestic climate and carbon neutrality related agenda through the influence of the association. Moreover, enterprises projecting to meet net-zero emission goals by 2050 may jointly search and promote the methods of accomplishing the goals, in order to implement Taiwan net zero transformation. The association encourages members to lead all fields of Taiwan through action, raging Taiwan's net-zero emissions and assisting the government to meet Taiwan's carbon neutrality goals.
1.Net Zero Education: Offer net zero university courses, promote the R&D and instruction of related knowledge, and build the exchange and education platform for knowledge and technology related to net-zero emissions for everyone.
2.Sustainable Finance: Hold forums and seminars related to sustainable financial regulations and practices.
3.Technological Services: Provide enterprise members with customized, to-door services in response to net-zero innovation technology.
4.Policy and Regulations: Collect opinions from enterprise members, assist the government with the legislation and amendment of laws related to climate change and establish the communication platform for laws and policies related to carbon neutrality.
5.International Collaboration: Promote Taiwan enterprises and international institutions and organizations related to net zero-related policies and technological exchange, and establish the mechanism of collaboration.
6.Publications: Publish net zero news biweekly, special report and the annual report of the Association.
7.Other matters related to net-zero emissions and carbon neutrality.
